Severe Knee Injury Keeps Costa Rican Land Developer From Attending Peter Weller’s Wedding In Italy

(PRWEB) June 21, 2006 -- A severe and very painful knee injury suffered by the wife of a Costa Rican land developer will keep the couple from attending actor Peter Weller’s wedding in Positano, Italy. The couple was already packed and only 48 hours away from getting on a plane from Miami to Positano when Judi Gale, wife of Paragon Chairman Bill Gale, suffered a shattered knee as a result of a slip and fall accident at home.

Peter Weller, best known for his role on the big screen as “Robocop” and his recurring role on Fox TV’s series “24,” has sent his best wishes for a speedy recovery to Judi Gale. Weller had hoped the Gales would be in attendance in Positano at his first wedding to longtime girlfriend Sheri Stowe on the same day as his 59th birthday. On Friday, June 16th, Judi Gale was rushed to Aventura Hospital in nearby Aventura, Florida for surgery on her injured knee. On Saturday, June 17th, Mrs. Gale underwent a 3 hour operation attended by Dr. Michael Dennis and his North Miami based team of orthopedic surgeons to oversee the process of repairing Mrs. Gale’s shattered knee bone. Mrs. Gale is now resting comfortably at home and is expected to make a full recovery.

“My wife is a strong lady to be able to face this kind of pain. We expect Judi will be fine and eventually make a full recovery. But you can imagine our obvious disappointment not being able to attend this very special event in Italy. We would like to take the opportunity to wish the Wellers all the happiness in the World,” says Bill Gale. Peter Weller and Sheri Stowe are scheduled to be married in Positano, Italy on June 24, 2006. The Gale’s plan to spend the holidays with a dozen friends including the Wellers in December, 2006 for their 12th annual trip to Venice, Italy.
